Jubilee for Fish Vendors

By: Jemima Mahipos

Our May 1 celebration has been fruitful and has opened many hearts to each and every one of us as we held three meaningful celebrations: The feast of Saint Joseph the Worker, the Jubilee of Fish Vendors and the opening of Flores de Mayo.

As we continue to celebrate our 500 Years of Christianity, we express our utmost respect and appreciation to our brothers and sisters who are making a living through selling fish and fish products. The Parish Lectors and Cantors Ministry was unified in organizing a successful Jubilee for Fish Vendors and was able to partake the true meaning of “Gifted to give”. The attitude of gratitude adds meaning and color to our three-in-one celebration. Yes, this will never be a success without the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and her spouse, Saint Joseph. May we continue to bring these gifts that we have for the rest of the Jubilee year!

The Invited Fish Vendors attended the Holy Mass in celebration for this Jubilee.

Dinner Party at the Parish Social Hall

Gift packages were also given to our invited guests.
